Common questions

What is the difference between SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2?

A Type 1 report describes whether your controls are designed appropriately at a single point in time. A Type 2 report tests whether those controls operated effectively over a period, which is why customers usually prefer it. Many organizations start with Type 1 and move to Type 2.

Who needs a SOC 2 report?

Service organizations that store, process or can access customer data, such as software providers, managed service providers and data processors. In practice, you need one when customers or prospects ask for it during security review.

Build once. Comply many.

We run compliance on the Secure Controls Framework (SCF): one control set mapped to the frameworks you need, so the work is connected instead of repeated. See how we use SCF.
